Poems I Wrote In The School Holidays

 1. The stars twinkle in the sky,

Way way way up high.

Matariki is not always there,

Just look for them and beware.

2. All stars are different.

All stars are bright.

All stars twinkle way up high,

All stars are pretty and so very nice.

But Matariki is always right.

3.When the sun has gone down,

And the blue stars appear.

Then the dinosaurs know that their bedtime is near,

So they all brushed their teeth and sweet faces too.

Then they wiggle and stretch just like dinosaurs do.

Their Pajamas are cozy, they all put them on.

And they yawn,

And they yawn,

And they yawn,

And they yawn.

Bye!

  2. Kia ora Valerie,
This is such a good poem! It looks like it took a really long time to make. I like how you made the story match instead of writing random rhyming words. From Siara

    1. Good point Siara. Poems don't always have to rhyme. Have you written any poems you could share?

  3. Great poem Valerie. Maybe during this lockdown you could write some more and share with us on your blog. Or even blog about what you are doing at home. Would be great to see some of your Olympic work as well.
